City Council Meeting Minutes 411 December 13,2011 Page 7 of 7 Mayor Muckle stated he would collect all the questions and assemble the questionnaire for review by the entire City Council. Deputy City Manager Balser noted the December 20, 2011 City Council Agenda will be assembled on Friday, so it will necessitate a very quick turnaround for the public and the City Council. City Attorney Light stated his understanding the draft questionnaire will be presented at the December 20, 2011 City Council meeting, for Council discussion and action to release the questionnaire. He requested a motion to continue voting until January 3, 2012. MOTION: Mayor Muckle restated his motion to continue the voting to fill the vacancy for Ward Ito January 3, 2012, seconded by Councilor Yarnell. All were in favor. There was discussion relative to the deadline for applicants to submit the completed questionnaire. Councilor Yarnell suggested moving the meeting date for voting on the appointment back to January 17, 2012. Councilor Loo concurred. Public Relations Manager requested staff direction on a timeline for completion of the Illquestions. Mayor Muckle would work with staff to get the questionnaire into the January 3, 2012 packet. City Attorney Light stated that if the voting were continued to January 3, 2012, it could at that meeting make further decisions on the timeline. MOTION: Councilor Yarnell moved to amend the motion previously adopt and continue the voting to fill the vacancy for Ward Ito January 17, 2012 rather than to January 3, 2012.
