Approval of Designation of Places for Posting of Notices of Public <br /> Meetings <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> Michael Menaker, 1827 Choke Cherry Drive, Louisville, CO addressed a fence in <br /> disrepair along McCaslin Boulevard and voiced his belief the City owns the fence and is <br /> obligated to repair and maintain it. He disagreed with the City's position and requested <br /> this matter be discussed at a Study Session. <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> Mayor Muckle wished everyone a Happy New Year. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> City Manager Fleming welcomed the City's new Public Works Director Kurt Kowar, who <br /> was the former Public Works Director for the Town of Superior. He also reported on the <br /> new gateway sign on Highway 42, which was funded by the Takoda Metro District. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> PROCLAMATION — KRISTIN DONLEY, 2012 COLORADO TEACHER OF THE YEAR <br /> Mayor Muckle proclaimed January 3, 2012 as "Kristin Donley Day" in the City of <br /> Louisville and asked all residents to congratulate Kristin on the honor of being named <br /> 2012 Colorado Teacher of the Year. He presented the proclamation to Ms. Donley. <br /> Ms. Donley thanked the Council for recognizing teachers and stated she looks forward <br /> to working with the Council as a liaison to ensure better education for children. She <br /> thanked the City Council for making Louisville a wonderful place to visit, work and live. <br /> Monarch High School Principal Jerry Anderson also thanked Council for recognizing <br /> Kristin Donley, who is very deserving of the award. <br /> APPOINTMENTS OF CITY ATTORNEY, WATER ATTORNEY, MUNICIPAL JUDGE, <br /> DEPUTY MUNICIPAL JUDGE AND CITY PROSECUTOR <br /> Pursuant to the City's Home Rule Charter, the City Council shall appoint a City <br /> Attorney, a City Prosecutor, and a Municipal Judge and Deputy Municipal Judge.
