Youth Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />1/5/12 <br />Page 2of 4 <br />January Volunteer Projects <br />Lucas: Medtronics won’t be open January 16th because of the holiday, so we <br />need to think up at least 3 dates that would work for us to go and do the bake <br />sale. <br />Mandy: Wednesdays work best for Lynn and I. How about February 1, 8, and <br />15? We need people to workfrom about 4-5:30 after-school? <br />Lucas: Remember to wrap things neatly and try and bring non-perishables. <br />Lynn: And remember to buy daffodils for the American Cancer Society on the <br />YAB website, created by Joi! <br />February Volunteer Projects <br />Medtronics bake sale (see above) <br />Heat Relief dinner is a no this year <br />Royal Ball--Saturday, February 4th at the Memory Square Park Arts Center <br />11am-2pm, wear red YAB shirt with khaki or black bottoms. (Sign up sheet went <br />around) <br />VII. Postcard Project <br />4 postcards have been turned in so far <br />Isabella: I gave some to a friend’s mom who runs an art camp, and her kids have <br />completed them and she just has them with her. <br />Joi: After the Parade of Lights, Brooke and I handed out postcards and <br />information to many Girl Scout troops and their moms who were very interested. <br />Walking around afterwards with postcards was very effective. <br />Mandy: Let me know if you guys want a stack of postcards to hand out. <br />Megan: Let’s make a list of Louisville businesses to inform about our <br />project...coffee shops, The Book Cellar, the ice rink... <br />Lynn: I used to help with the Young Artist’s Exhibit, so I can ask some of the local <br />BVSD school art teacher’s to talk to their kids about it. <br />Isabella will talk to the owners of the above Louisville businesses and hand out <br />flyers created by Kriska for the library. <br />Eliza andSam will ask local teachers from Coal creek Elementary and Louisville <br />Middle School. <br /> <br />
