RESOLUTION NO. 12 <br /> SERIES 2012 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PARKS, RECREATION, OPEN SPACE AND <br /> TRAILS COMPREHENSIVE MASTER PLAN <br /> WHEREAS, the existing Parks Master Plan dates back to 1992 and is no longer <br /> relevant to the City's needs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Louisville Comprehensive Plan recommends an updated <br /> guiding document for parks, recreation, open space and trails; and <br /> WHEREAS, City of Louisville Staff and the Consultant Team obtained community <br /> input for the plan by facilitating 7 focus group meetings with various Louisville boards <br /> and commissions, staff, and stakeholders, 2 public meetings, presented at 2 City <br /> Council Study Sessions, administered a statistically-valid survey and distributed a <br /> questionnaire to City Council members; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Comprehensive Master <br /> Plan has been developed to identify the community's needs with regards to these <br /> services and will function as a guiding document for the Parks and Recreation <br /> Department for the next 10 years; and <br /> WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing on January 12, 2012, the <br /> Planning Commission recommended approval of the plan based on its' compatibility <br /> with the City of Louisville Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council by this resolution desires to approve the Parks, <br /> Recreation, Open Space and Trails Comprehensive Master Plan. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO hereby approves the City of Louisville, Parks, <br /> Recreation, Open Space and Trails Comprehensive Master Plan dated December, 2011 <br /> and recommended edits dated February 7, 2012. <br /> • ED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of February 2012. <br /> /04,1.- By 'I LA.Aut,-- <br /> Bob Muckle <br /> �' Mayor <br /> . • <br /> AOSt: .�•,, <br /> ' t9 tlbfk <br /> Resolution No.12,Series 2012 <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br />
