Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 2of4 <br />In December, the Cultural Council does not hold a business meeting. Rather, <br />members are invited to a dinner to celebrate the service of outgoing members <br />and to welcome newly appointed members. This dinner will be at Zucca at 7:00 <br />PM, December 15. This is a social event and no business will be conducted to <br />remain compliant with the City's open government requirements. <br />Treasurer's Report - Event organizers must get a W -9 form (IRS.gov) from any <br />performers who receives $600 or more from LCC in a calendar year. <br />Revenue from shirts $365 which will be added to Art in the Park funds, along with <br />about $800 collected from summer concert donations. <br />A motion was made by Susan Honstein and seconded by Andy Langford to <br />increase the authority to purchase t -shirts up to $600 (the previous authorization <br />was $400). The board voted unanimously to approve the motion. <br />SCFD check for $1500 has been received. <br />Justine and Maryan went to the formal presentation. <br />Key dates: SCFD grant writing workshop in Jan and Feb <br />Community Foundation grant due Jan 2012 <br />Final grant report due 2/15/2012 <br />Colorado Creative Industries grant is on the radar for next year. <br />City Council Update - Council Member Frost Yarnell discussed new council, <br />new mayor and the distribution of liaison assignments. Frost may not be <br />attending all meetings because the number of assignments that each council <br />person fills has increased.. <br />Discussion /Information Items- <br />Fundraising - Long sleeve shirts are in. Fundraising letter ready to go, just <br />waiting for Chamber to OK. <br />Art in the Park - Still working on transition from art in the park to art in public <br />places. MJ has buy in from Louisville Arts District, Arts Hub /Art Underground, <br />LAA, DBA and still working on Chamber of Commerce. Intending to have a <br />larger meeting to discuss. Gavin will be invited to meeting. Wanting to create <br />committee where LCC still takes lead but others are assisting. Some discussion <br />of common interests of Arts Hub, Arts District, LAA, LCC and how to facilitate. <br />Louisville Youth Advisory Board - is doing postcards with Living in Louisville <br />items. Will produce books for fundraiser. May be an opportunity for <br />
