Minutes <br />January 9, 2012 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />Commissioner Lathrop commented to the LRC that the community should not <br />rely on rail in our planning discussions. <br />Mayor/Commissioner Muckle responded that all discussions/options include a <br />station in Louisville. <br />Commissioner Jasiak suggested the LRC needs some language as a group to <br />provide the community, stakeholders, and residents an update on the work of the <br />Commission. Rallying around a future station and what that will look like would <br />be a strong position/opportunity for the LRC to provide a vision for the area <br />Business Matters of Commission: <br />The City Manager Fleming updated the Commission on open government <br />training. Routinely notices are sent to Commissioners through Meredyth Muth, <br />Public Relations Manager; if Commissioners are due to attend. <br />th <br />SWOT Analysis Review from December 12LRC meeting with Atkins, led <br />by Gavin McMillan: <br />A long and detailed discussion among Commissioners commenced about <br />edits/changes to the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) <br />analysis as well as the matrix. The consultant’s next step is to take the 8 SWOT <br />tables from the various focus groups, find similarities, and try and come to <br />informed consent among the stakeholders with any conflicts. Staff will send out <br />edits from today for LRC review and comment. Staff will bring an updated LRC <br />SWOT matrix back to LRC next month and also any other updated info. <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br /> Audrey DeBarros from 36 Commuting Solutions <br /> Update of FasTracks <br /> Final SWOT review. <br /> Discussion of LRC Vision Statement <br /> Future Mobile workshop, when weather is better to tour the Westminster <br />st <br />station (71 and Lowell) <br />Commissioner Menaker recommended attending the planning commission <br />meeting, or reading the agenda packet for the Jan 12 meeting regarding the <br />Safeway redevelopment which is in the urban renewal district. <br />Adjourn <br /> – The meeting was adjourned at 8:50. <br /> <br />
