Motion seconded by Chris Pritchard, passed unanimously. RETENTION MEETINGS: AMI –Advanced Medical Imaging– Dana and Scott R conducted this visit. The site is one of several around the state. It is a service center with expenses machines paying use tax.No problems cited. They are happy with location. Front Porch Digital –Dana and Rob conducted this visit to a company in CTC. The company transfer data from tape to disk, mostly for federal government clients. NexGen Storage –Dana and John Benedetti visited them in the Centennial Valley. About 50 employees and growing. They received$10 million of venture capital last fall. RedShift –is a small start up located on South Boulder Road. They approached Meredyth Muth, Chris Browning and Bonnie regarding their concept of voice recognition. They use avatars on websites to facilitate the acquisition/location of website information. Because of competition from Apple’s similar iphone capabilities, Chris suggested they market to communities who must address a federal mandate regarding ADA access. PRESENTATION BY SAM BAILEY , Global Business Development Specialist of the State Office of Economic Development and International Trade . Sam presented a PPT show with information on two OEDIT programs:Colorado First (training grant) and Colorado Companies to Watch (recognition program). The Committee members asked questions. Because the next speaker, Matthew DeBartolomeis was delayed by traffic and weather conditions, we adjusted the agenda to hear the following 2 items: UPDATE ON INTEGRATED INFRASTRUCTURE IMPLEMENTATION PLAN, LOUISVILLE FASTRACKS STATION AREA AND HIGHWAY 42 CORRIDOR (PlanningDepartment): Troy Russ, Planning and Building SafetyDirector, gave an update on thisproject ECONOMICDEVELOPMENTUPDATE –Bonnie Starnoted the packet contained the 2012 Open Government Pamphlet She noted the owner of the Grain Elevator site is intendingto submit for a demo permit. They are still open to a sale, but have been delaying for almost 2 years and need to move this along. John Frazeeof Gravity Brewinghas submitted a BAP request for a brew pub in the American Legion building. A BAP for 100-mile Mercantile(Tony Renfrow) for a store with local goods, food, etc. was approved by Council on Jan 3. Big Lots closing this week.’ Tim’s Trains doing well in new location. Wants some of the shelving.
