City Council Finance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />01/17/12 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />Community Food Share $2,500 <br />Dental Aid $1,000 <br />Hospice Care of Boulder/Broomfield $1,500 <br />Impact on Education $1,000 <br />Meals on Wheels of East Boulder County $2,000 <br />Safehouse Progressive Alliance $1,500 <br />Sister Carmen Community Center $2,500 <br />United Methodist Church (Food Bank/Food Baskets) $1,000 <br />Council member Keany asked the Finance Director to remind the non-profit <br />agencies of the deadline to submit requests for 2013. <br />A schedule of previous grant contributions can be located in the packet of the <br />January 17, 2012 Finance Committee Meeting. <br />SALES TAX REPORTS FOR THE MONTH ENDED NOVEMBER 30, 2011 <br />The Tax Manager presented the monthly November 30, 2011 Sales Tax Reports. <br />The Tax Manager provided the Committee handouts of a City map indicating the <br />various sales/use tax revenue areas of the City and a listing of the industry <br />sectors used to track and report sales/use tax. <br />Council member Keany requested 2012 report that would provide YTD sales tax <br />revenue by fund compared to budget. This change would slightly alter one of the <br />current revenue reports. <br />The reports and the corresponding narrative can be located in the packet of the <br />January 17, 2012 Finance Committee Meeting. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2011 <br />The Accounting Manager presented the quarterly Financial Statements through <br />December 31, 2011. <br />The Accounting Manager informed the Committee that the December statements <br />do not yet reflect all of the 2011 revenues or expenses and that the necessary <br />accounting accruals would continue to be posted to the 2011 financials through <br />March 2012. <br />The next financial reports will be presented at the April Finance Committee <br />Meeting and will include the final statements for 2011 and the first quarter <br />financial statements for 2012. <br />4 <br />
