The following persons were present- <br />City CouncilPresent:Mayor Robert Muckle <br />Councilor Hank Dalton <br />Councilor Jay Keany <br />Councilor Susan Loo <br />Councilor Ron Sackett <br />Councilor Frost Yarnell <br />Staff Present:Malcolm Fleming, City Manager <br />Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager <br />Troy Russ, Planning & Bldg. Safety Director <br />Sean McCartney, Principal Planner <br />Gavin McMillan, Planner III <br />Polly Boyd, Executive Assistant <br />Update/Discussion –Comprehensive Plan 2012 Review <br />Troy Russ, Planning andBuilding Safety Director presented. The City’s Comprehensive <br />Plan must be updated every fouryears as defined in the Louisville Municipal Code. Since the <br />last update, Louisville has evolved, policy needs to be refined and specific neighborhood <br />concernsneed to be evaluatedas they were not included in the last update. <br />Director Russ presented what the items arethat should be addressed during the upcoming <br />update (below), discussed the approach that staff will take, scope of work and the <br />staff/consultant distribution of work required to complete the update in approximately 9-12 <br />months. <br />Better meet today’s unique challenges that were not factors in 2005 and 2009. <br />Better clarify the Community’s Vision in terms of community character and physical <br />design to provide staff with a tool to review redevelopment requests. <br />Better align principles and policies to support the Community Vision. <br />City of Louisville <br />City Council 749 Main Street <br />Louisville CO 80027 <br />303.335.4533 (phone) 303.335.4550 (fax) www.LouisvilleCO.gov <br /> <br />
