He stood in witness to <br /> the City officials promoting the interests of Comcast Television. <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> Councilor Sackett asked why the Council meetings are no longer broadcast on Channel <br /> 8. Public Relations Manager Muth explained in order to receive Channel 8 programming <br /> a digital cable box is required. She stated residents who cannot receive Channel 8, <br /> may contact her and she will forward their contact information to Comcast. <br /> Mayor Muckle reported on the success of the US 36 Mayors' Coalition group's recent <br /> trip to Washington, D.C., to lobby for transportation funds. They met with Colorado <br /> delegation and their staff members. Discussions focused on future funding for US 36, <br /> and on on FasTracks and the Northwest Commuter Rail. Deputy City Manager <br /> concurred the discussions were very timely and it was a productive trip. <br /> Mayor Muckle wished the best of luck to the Monarch Basketball team. <br /> • CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> City Manager Fleming thanked Deborah Fahey and all the members of the Senior <br /> Foundation for the success of the two fund raisers, which benefitted the senior citizens. <br /> He thanked the City staff members who facilitated training classes for their fellow <br /> employees on the Monday President's Day Training.
