Cultural Council Meeting Minutes DATE Page3of3 Susan reported on Colorado Wind Ensemble on 2/12. Upon arrival, it took quite a bit of time to clean up before the performance as Impact on Education had not taken down 195 pictures. Upcoming Events: Swing State, Friday, February 17th at 7:30 pm. City Council Update - Council Member Frost Yarnell discussed the City's comprehensive plan update. City Staff Update — Kathy Martin, Julie Seydel discussed that the board will have a visitor (Drew Sartell, City Planning Dept.) to the March meeting. There will be information in the packet that should be read prior to the meeting, Kathy distributed keys for the Art Center to the new members. The keys open the front/back doors along with the basement door. General Discussion /Brainstorming - Julie Kovash does the newsletters, event emails for LCC. She is no longer on the board but would be interested in continuing if she got paid. Fundraising — $130 was authorized to purchase tee shirts. Shayl will take over the tee shirt fundraising and will devise a method to use the profits from the tee shirt sales to continue to purchase / sell more shirts. Danyelle mentioned to Susan that she would like help with the children's programs. Other children's programs were discussed. Susan will email Emma and Sheryl the name of the performer from Ft. Collins. Emma will ask Nancy Fitzgerald from Dana V Music to come to the April board meeting to share what they could do to bring music to under privileged students. 2012 Work Plan — Put on the agenda as a topic for discussion next meeting. Discussion Items for Next Meeting — Emma moved to table the citizen's survey question to the March 15th meeting, Andy seconded motion. Kathy will send the question. Adjourn — Justine made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Andy seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned.
