Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 22, 2012 <br />City Hall - 749 Main Street <br />6:45Spruce Room <br />PM – <br />I. Call to Order: <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chair Andy Johnson at 6:35pm. <br />Minutes to be taken by Mark Persichetti. <br />II. Approval of Current-Meeting’s Agenda: <br /> The agenda was approved, with the <br />Item XItem VII <br />deletion of – Gavin McMillan will cover the Comp-Plan update as <br />tonight. <br />IV. Approval of January Meeting Minutes: <br /> The minutes were approved with two <br />minor corrections. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: <br /> None. <br />VI. Welcome of new member: <br /> NA. <br />VII. Comp-Plan Presentation, by Gavin McMillan: <br /> Gavin gave us a brief overview of <br />th <br />the Comp Plan and its purpose. According to the current schedule, March 12 will be <br />the first public meeting to receive comments from residents; future meetings are <br />scheduled for June and October. Gavin mentioned a web-based meeting format (Mind- <br />Mixer) will be set up for public input. <br />Gavin asked us to help define Louisville’s Core Values (copy attached), and help <br />determine how the idea of “sustainability” may fit into those values. He led us through <br />an exercise to help better define the current “Community Vision Statement”. We <br />discussed use of phrases like ‘small town’, progressive’, ‘community education’, ‘safety’, <br />and ‘livable with a sense of identity/community’.
