Dear Sean & Scott, <br />Thank you so much for taking the time this morning to come to th <br />what Eric & I had to say. I appreciate your helping us arrange things with HPC and the Cit <br />Council to facilitate this possible project. We are very excited about this and have worked hard <br />for many years to realize these dreams. <br />Obviously a professional assessment is required to determine the <br />the building, and we would like to express what we feel are the structure. As I <br />presented in front of City Council in January, we have four basi <br />important: <br />1. ADA bathrooms are essential to meet the basic needs of our custo <br />2.The foundation is a major structural concern, as it is a collage <br />patchwork of bricks and cement (I am glad you had the chance to <br />3.A fire suppression system (given the century old timbers that ma <br />the building) is critical to keep the building standing in the case of a fire. <br />4.Knob-and-tube electrical in the attic is a significant fire risk. Removing this and adding <br />insulation are the first of many energy saving measures that mus <br />In addition to these things, I would like to address the in kind aspect of the proposal. As there <br />is not enough revenue to fund these projects if matching funds a <br />City Council will take into consideration my in-kind efforts.
