<br />Horticulture & Forestry <br />Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />Thursday, April 5, 2012 <br />Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br /> 7:00 <br />PM <br />I.Call to Order—Chair Mike Frontczak called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. <br />II.Roll call—Board members present: Shelly Alm, Mike Frontczak, Meredith Preston- <br />Eddy, Theresa Rounds, Matt Tepe, Ellen Toon, Beverlee White. Board member absent: <br />Kimberly Heestand. Staff member present: Dean Johnson. City Council member <br />present: Susan Loo. <br />III.The agenda was approved by all members. <br />IV.The minutes from the March 1, 2012 meeting were approved. <br />V.Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda—No public present. Susan commented <br />that all Louisville residents are welcome to make comments regarding the 2012 <br />Comprehensive Plan Update on “Envision Louisville” on the City website. Mike <br />attended the City Council meeting at which the Arbor Day Proclamation on April 19 <br />was announced. Dean discussed current volunteer programs which help maintain <br />several parks and open space areas—they include Adopt a Park, Adopt a Trail, and <br />Adopt an Open Space. <br />Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 pm <br />VI.Library talk by Carol O’Meara, —Subject will be <br />container gardening. Nimira will design flyer, which will be posted in public areas <br />throughout the City, and emailed to several groups.
