Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 12, 2012 <br />Page 7of 10 <br />Goal:Maximize intergovernmental agreements with Boulder Valley School <br />District. <br />Goal: Evaluate and review the effectiveness and understanding of partnership <br />agreements. <br />D.Park, Open Space and Trails Maintenance & Management <br />Goal: Define / Improve park maintenance standards <br />Goal:Open Space property management practices. <br />Goal: Parks & Open Space CIP Improvements. <br />E.Golf <br />Goal:maximize 2011 Coal Creek Golf Course Strategic Plan <br />F.Financial <br />Goal:Sustain the high level of service to which citizens have become <br />accustomed. <br />Goal: Renovate, expand and develop facilities. <br />Public Comment: <br />None heard. <br />Questions of Staff: <br />O’Connell and Russell stated they had no questions. <br />Brauneis stated he appreciated the time staff has put into the Plan. <br />Pritchard asked how often the Plan is to be reviewed. <br />Stevens stated the Plan is to be reviewed every the (10) years but will probably be <br />reviewed soon as the needs of the community change. <br />Moline stated the staff and department have done a great job. He stated the need to <br />Wayfinding is very important to thecommunity. <br />Lipton asked McMillan to compare the PROST Plan to the Comprehensive Plan. <br />McMillan stated the PROST Plan is a vision for the Parks, Recreation and Open <br />Space Department. <br />Tengler asked if the Open Space tax would be available for parks and the golf <br />course. <br />Stevens stated the Community Survey includes a questions regarding the Open <br />Space Tax and if it should be renewed and/or increased. <br />Summary Comments and Request from Staff: <br />None heard. <br />Closed Public Hearing –Planning Commission Discussion: <br />Planning Commission had no additional discussion. <br />Lipton moved and Pritchard seconded a motion to approve Resolution No. 30, Series <br />2011, a resolution recommending approval of the Parks, Recreation, Open Space <br />and Trails Comprehensive MasterPlan without conditions. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br /> <br />
