There are 2 potential users <br />vying for the space. <br />• Vacant Blockbuster space — possible franchise user interested <br />• BAP activity — lots of activity, Quantum, Pearl Izumi, Wildwood, brewers, kitchen incubator, Etkin <br />Johnson for future building at CTC and Global Imaging <br />• Cactus Wheel — the business was sold to an experienced restaurateur who is planning to open a <br />family - friendly Mexican restaurant. The new owner of the business is planning some upgrades for <br />the building <br />• Centennial Valley Merchants Association — group going strong and planning for their 4th of July <br />event. <br />• Spicy Pickle closed — a couple of people are interested in the space. <br />• Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System — announcement they are moving to Broomfield. <br />New jobs in Broomfield may translate into real estate purchases in Louisville. <br />Comments: <br />• Chris Pritchard - Old KFC building is not looking very nice. <br />• Michael Menaker - What legal tools does the City of Louisville have to change covenants of the <br />Sam's property? Bonnie indicated the City is working on anything they can do to help this along. <br />• Sue Loo — Now what happens that the Planning Commission has denied the Safeway <br />development, does the developer have to go back to the Planning Commission? Troy Russ, <br />Planning Director, said it will be going to Council and not back to Planning Commission. The <br />Council will have the option to Approve /Approve with Conditions, Deny or Remand it to Planning <br />Commission. <br />• Troy Russ - Discussion of Land Use Public Notice Process is tentatively scheduled for the July <br />10th Study Session. <br />REPORTS FROM COMMITTEE MEMBERS <br />• Dana Alford - Centennial Valley Merchants Association: The merchants in the Centennial Valley <br />suffer from identity issues. Is it better to identify this area as Centennial Valley or tie it to <br />McCaslin Boulevard since most people know where McCaslin is located. Depending on what is <br />decided, name of this group may change. Still looking for a location to hold the July 4th event. <br />City Manager Fleming said there is a meeting of the Interchange Committee with Louisville and <br />Superior scheduled on Tuesday, April 3rd. This committee formed as a result of an IGA. <br />Tomorrow's meeting is to review the different options on how to address traffic and also to look at <br />the latest results from the traffic study. <br />• Rob Lathrop — From retention visits last year at CTC, there were two main issues that came out of <br />the meetings and that was to 1) lack of options for lunch, and 2) connectivity to the rest of <br />Louisville. The connectivity issue has been addressed with the new trail connection to the Coal <br />Creek trail from CTC. The project is soon to go out for bid with plans to complete this summer. <br />• Bonnie asked for an update on food trucks and Planning Director Russ said food trucks are <br />allowed on private property only with an approved SRU. Food trucks not allowed in the right -of- <br />way. <br />• Chris Pritchard — the downtown patios will be up the first week of May. Street Faire starts on June <br />15. An extra night for the Street Faire of July 6th will be added and the plan for this night is to <br />bring a musical group that is expected to draw approximately 10,000 people. DBA working on <br />parking issues and is hoping to use the school parking lots, however, have not heard back from <br />Boulder Valley Schools. Also, looking into the possibility of running pedi -cabs. Chris asked for <br />volunteers for the Friday Night Street Faire. <br />
