The applicant
officially submitted his proposal to the City in July. He was scheduled to go
before the Planning Commission this week. However, the City had many issues
and concerns to which his original submittal did not satisfy. Therefore, we
have continued the public hearing until November 17th.
This schedule delay provides the applicant more time to respond to our
specific concerns. Staff did ask for a detailed traffic study as a part of
his application as well as specific architectural renderings associated with
the building height variance request.
If built, this will be one of the taller buildings in town; however, we do
have two other location (that I know of) where the City granted 55' heights,
or greater. These include ConocoPhillips (95') as well as the Takoda Phase 4
development (55'). The Takoda Phase 4 property is located South of Steel
Ranch, closer to South Boulder Road (east of the rail road tracks).
file : / / /GI/Planning %20Commission/ agendas / 2012/ Meetin... pondence% 20Received/ 03.WillDeaverEmai109.06.2011.txt (1 of 4) [02/01/2012 12:53:31 PM]
