He also reported on the 4-way <br /> Stop intersection at Pine and Front streets, which was implemented to ensure <br /> pedestrian safety. The sidewalk crossing will be reviewed shortly. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> OLDER AMERICANS MONTH PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Muckle read the proclamation, which proclaimed the Month of May as Older <br /> Americans Month. He presented the proclamation to Senior Services Supervisor Katie <br /> Beasley. <br /> Senior Services Supervisor Beasley explained the City of Louisville will host its annual <br /> luncheon on Wednesday, May 16 from 12:00-1:00 pm in honor of Older Americans <br /> Month. Members of the Senior Advisory Board are: Joe DeSouza, Carol Purfurst, Julie <br /> Stone, Woody Hipsher, Bob Pierce, Kate Love, Rosalie Lynn, Karen Maddock, and <br /> Georgianna Yoder and AAC Representative Debby Fahey. <br /> The following members of the Seniors of Louisville Advisory Board were in attendance <br /> to be recognized: Woody Hipsher, Debby Fahey and Jim Purfurst. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 31 , SERIES 2012 — A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUSINESS <br /> ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT WITH SJ LEPEEP FOR REINVESTMENT AND <br /> ATTRACTION OF A NEW RETAIL OUTLET AT 390 SOUTH MCCASLIN. <br /> BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br /> Economic Development Director DeJong explained City Council action is requested on <br /> a proposed economic development Business Assistance Package (BAP) for SJ <br /> (LePeep) to secure the retail space renovation and establishment of a new restaurant in <br /> the Centennial Valley occupying approximately 3,016 square feet located at 390 S. <br /> McCaslin Blvd in Louisville. <br /> Staff received a Business Assistance Request from Sarah Jarman, to renovate and re- <br /> establish a restaurant in the former KFC/A&W location. Ms. Jarman intends to open a <br /> LePeep franchise, a breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant. Ms. Jarman would like to <br /> start this new business in town, given it is financially feasible compared to other <br /> communities she is researching. Jarman anticipates having two full-time and 15 part- <br /> time employees at opening, with an annual payroll of $185,000. Wages will be <br /> consistent with those paid in food service. She plans to invest $150,000 in remodeling <br /> the space to accommodate the new restaurant. <br /> APPLICANT PRESENTATION <br />
