<br />RESOLUTION NO. 39 <br />SERIES 1996 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, AND THE BOULDER <br />VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. RE-2 FOR A K-12 CAMPUS IN THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an intergovernmental agreement between the City of <br />Louisville and the Boulder Valley School District No. RE-2 for a K- <br />12 Campus in the City of Louisville, Colorado has been proposed; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Boulder Valley School <br />District No. RE-2 has determined that, in order to accommodate the <br />education needs within Louisville, the School District must expand <br />its educational facilities by constructing K-12 facilities to serve <br />school-age children of the School District in and around <br />Louisville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the acquisition, improvement and expansion of the <br />School District's K-12 facilities within the boundaries of the City <br />will benefit the citizens of the City and their school-age <br />children, and will promote the education, public health, safety, <br />welfare, and economic well-being of said citizens and children; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, existing K-8 educational facilities within the City <br />are overcrowded and there currently is no high school with the <br />boundaries of Louisville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, certain offsite public improvements are necessary to <br />serve the K-12 facilities and other public needs within the City <br />and the City Council believes it is in the best interest of the <br />City and its citizens to assist in providing those facilities, to <br />serve the citizens and school-age children of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed school and <br />other uses of the property subject to the intergovernmental <br /> <br />1 <br />
