Louisville City Council Meeting
December 5, 2000
Page 6.

Mayer suggested that next year for the budget process, Council list their goals and
advertise the work session dates on the Website.

Sisk expressed his appreciation to Finance Director Dianne Ray, for all the work that she
puts into the budget. He stated that the budget is a reflection of the Council's wishes.
He thanked Ray and her staff and City Administrator Simmons and his staff. He noted
that the process is open to the public and that he would welcome citizen comments on the
budget.

Brown expressed his congratulations to Dianne Ray and the Staff. He concurred with
Councilman Sisk that the budget reflected the Council's goals. He stated that the budget
represents a lot of tremendous projects and maintains a lot of wonderful projects.

Mayer stated that there is money in capital projects and a dollar values mentioned,
however, he wanted to make it clear to Staff and the public that this does not constitute an
appropriation. He referenced the new police building, the extension, of city hall and the
recreation senior center, and stated that just because there is a number there, justification
has to be provided before funds are appropriated.

Davidson stated that the mill levy of 4.7 mills makes Louisville the lowest property tax
City in the area. He stated that Council and City Staff did an excellent job in preparation
of the 2001 budget.

RESOLUTION NO. 64, SERIES 2000 - A RESOLUTION SUMMARIZING
EXPENDITURES AND REVENUES FOR EACH FUND AND ADOPTING A
BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, FOR THE
CALENDAR YEAR BEGINNING ON THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY 2001 AND
ENDING ON THE LAST DAY OF DECEMBER 2001.

MOTION: Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 64, Series 2000, seconded
by Brown.
