<br />RESOLUTION NO. 16 <br />SERIES 1996 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE COLLECTION, ADMINISTRATION <br />AND ENFORCEMENT OF THE USE TAX ON CONSTRUCTION AND <br />BUILDING MATERIALS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS I Section 3.20.170 of the Louisville Municipal Code <br />authorizes the City Council of Louisville to adopt all rules and <br />regulations which may be necessary or appropriate for the <br />collectionl administration and enforcement of the use tax on <br />construction and building materials; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS I the City Council wishes to confirm the existing City <br />practices in the collectionl administration and enforcement of the <br />use tax on construction and building materials. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />The following rules and regulations are necessary or <br />appropriate for the collectionl administrationl and enforcement of <br />the City use tax on building and construction materials and are <br />hereby adopted and approved by the City Council: <br /> <br />1. Section 3.20.140 of the Louisville Municipal Code imposes <br />a use tax on construction and building materials as follows: <br /> <br />a. Upon the privilege of using or consuming within the City <br />construction and building materials purchased at retail <br />for use in connection with commercial I industrial or <br />other nonresidential construction or building projects. <br /> <br />b. Until January 11 20041 upon the privilege of using or <br />consuming within the City construction and building <br />materials purchased at retail for use in connection with <br />residential construction or building projects. <br /> <br />c. The rate of the use tax on construction and building <br />materialsl until January 11 20041 is three and three- <br />eights percent of the retail cost thereof. On January 11 <br /> <br />1 <br />
