Joe will be receiving a report on the pump station and will have an update
at the next meeting.
The tree removal is underway and is due to be completed in July provided
we have no weather delays.Approximately $20,000 - $30,000 of new
trees is scheduled to be planted in the fall.
Coal Creek is grossly deficient in ADA compliances. Joe carried forward
$36,000 to begin addressing these issues.
Item VII β Staff Update on USGA recommendations-
No discussion on this agenda item.
Item VIII β WGP update-
Eric Jensen reported that Coal Creeks fairways are in good condition and
do not need to be aerified but WGP will address specific issues in high
traffic areas. Full aerification will happen in the fall.
WGP has hired a full time grounds person to maintain bunkers only. Sand
has been added to the green side bunkers. Plans are in the works for
addressing the practice bunker.
The landscaping at the front of the clubhouse will be complete within the
week. The next phase of landscaping work will be at the cart path and the
baggage drop.
WGP is in the process of addressing the outdoor patio carpet issue.
Item IX β Board discussion on capital funding of CCGC Improvement Plan
2014 going forward-
There were many ideas tossed around as to how to go forward with
obtaining funding for our Improvement Plan. Rob Lathrop stated his
concern with funding beginning with Phase III and beyond. He suggested
that if we could get a bond that would include the golf course along with
the Rec Center, an Aquatics center and Memory Square for example. Itβs
worth considering bond options and combining the golf course with other
needs in the city. Rob estimated a bond the payment would be
approximately $220,000 a year. The discussion then surrounded around if
the course would be able to recover its own debt. We discussed adding
one dollar to the green fees there for repaying our portion of the bond debt
at approximately $37,000 per year.

··
Parks and Recreation Department 749 Main Street Louisville, CO 80027
·
(303) 335-4735 FAX (303) 335-4738
www.louisvilleco.gov
Parks Recreation Senior Services O
Golf
