Approval of January 18, 2012 and February 15, 2012 minutes. <br />The members approved <br />both sets of minutes. <br />VII. Meeting as Advisory Board for the City of Louisville <br />Report from the Director of Library and Museum Services – Beth Barrett <br />A. <br />Public Involvement Policy <br />1.. The meeting package contained excerpts from the <br />public involvement policy, which members are encouraged to review. In other <br />news, a new Economic Development Coordinator has been hired who is coming <br />from Dubuque. <br />Report from the Museum Coordinator: <br />B. <br />Approval of Deeds of Gifts from donors <br />1.. The Commission voted to approve the <br />following gifts from donors: <br />a. From Don Buffo, four Louisville Times issues from the 1960s-70s <br />b. From Kris Foy, from the estate of Marie Blair, items relating to Louisville <br />organizations <br />c. From Charlene Hyslop, an original historic photo which includes <br />Commission member Andy William’s historic house <br />d. From Mariann Lastoka, funeral memorial books, business items, St. Louis <br />Church items, a photo of a house in Louisville’s Little Italy, and photos <br />indicating that mine explosives had been stored in the Harney Lastoka <br />granary from the early 1900s. <br />e. From Shirley Elrod, 1950s-1980s Louisville Times, photos of St. Louis <br />School, related items. <br />f. From Darlieen Del Pizzo, family history of the Bowes family, scans of <br />photos including one of her grandfather, a member of the Bachelor Club, <br />shown with the woman he married. <br />g. From Barbara Stahr who is a member of the Thomas family, payroll <br />records of the Ajax and Electric Mines including names of miners from the <br />1920s; business items <br />h. From Helen Warembourg,1967 booklet relating to Paclamar Farms, a <br />Louisville dairy farm <br />i. From Darlene Rohr, a member of Wilson family, a curtain stretcher for lace <br />curtains. The process was to soak lace curtains in sugar water, place over <br />the stretcher and dry in the sun. <br />j. From Dave Ferguson, a 1977 program from a Louisville senior citizens trip <br />taken to California by way of Santa Fe. <br />Advice sought on large artifacts being offered. <br />2. Paula Enrietto has asked if the <br />Museum could use doll furniture made by her grandfather for the collection. The <br />Commission’s advice was to request photos and then review. <br />Questions regarding Museum Coordinator’s written report <br />3.. The report was <br />clear and there were no questions. Bridget noted a recent newspaper article about <br />the Louisville Grain Elevator and mentioned that the Historic Preservation <br />Commission placed a hold on the demo permit for the Grain Elevator. <br />2012 Citizen’s Survey questions – Update. <br />C.It was confirmed that there will be a <br />question about the Museum and history on the survey being mailed out by the City. <br />Chairperson’s Report <br />D. <br />Planning meeting scheduled for April 18, 2012, 5:30 p.m. Library Board <br />1. <br />Room, Second Floor <br />Upcoming Study Session with City Council – June 12, 2012 <br />2. <br />Commission Comments and Discussion Items for the next meeting <br />E. <br />Close Advisory Board Meeting <br />F. <br />VIII.
