RESOLUTION NO. 35 <br /> SERIES 2012 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> AND BCS SIGN COMPANY, INC. FOR THE FABRICATION OF DOWNTOWN <br /> LOUISVILLE WAYFINDING SIGNS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Louisville Planning and Building Safety Department <br /> issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Professional Services to provide fabricated <br /> signs based on the City of Louisville's design specifications; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning and Building Safety Department and the Director of <br /> Planning and Building Safety of the City of Louisville rated BCS Sign Company as the <br /> number one choice to provide the professional services; and <br /> WHEREAS, a contract between the City and BCS Sign Company has been <br /> proposed to provide fabricated signs based on the City of Louisville's design <br /> specifications; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed contract is in the best interests <br /> of the City and its citizens and by this resolution desires to approve the contract, authorize <br /> its execution, and authorize BCS Sign Company to provide fabricated signs based on the <br /> City of Louisville's design specifications as described in said contract. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain Independent Contractor <br /> Agreement By and Between the City of Louisville and BCS Sign Company for <br /> Professional Services which provide the City fabricated signs based on the City of <br /> Louisville's design specifications, for in essentially the same form as the copy of such <br /> Contract accompanying this Resolution. <br /> 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Contract on behalf of the <br /> City Council of the City of Louisville, except that the Mayor is hereby further authorized <br /> to negotiate and approve such revisions to the Contract as the Mayor determines are <br /> necessary or desirable for the protection of the City, so long as the essential terms and <br /> conditions of the Contract are not altered. <br /> Resolution No.35,Series 2012 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
