He added it would be nice if the funds could be used to bring the missing historical components back. Stewart stated the dormer is the biggest issue for him, but he likes the house – the architectural form and windows are good. He added the social history as a rental is good. Griffin stated the rear of the house is most intriguing. He stated the kitchen is a miner’s shed which was added to the house a while back. Koertje made a motion to approve the landmark application based on the following findings:  Architectural Integrity  Style is consistent with Louisville Area  The structure exemplifies cultural and social integrity as a rental unit for miners  House should be named Hibler House, after original owner Gasper Hibler. Lewis seconded the motion. There were no questions of staff. The applicant, Tom Preston, presented the proposed plans for the reconstruction of a house on 801 Walnut Street, and stated the following:  Originally they had wanted to retain the house to build upon  Once the interior walls were opened it was found the structure was built completely of 2X4 construction which means it was under-built  Foundation is fairly solid and the basement is fine  He wants to retain the Walnut Street façade and open up the porch (as it originally was)  The chimney will be removed because it is a hazard  He will reuse the interior fir floors to remake the cabinets Stewart asked questions regarding the garage addition.
