The city clerk shall at all times maintain a reasonable supply of copies of the code available for purchase by the public at a moderate price. 15.16.030 Violation and penalties. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any building or structure or cause or permit the same to be done in violation of the provisions of this chapter or the terms of the code adopted and incorporated herein. Any person convicted of a violation of any provision of this chapter or of the provisions of the code adopted and incorporated herein shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 1.28.010. Section 21. Sections 15.52.010, 15.52.020. 15.52.030 and 15.52.040 of Chapter 15.52 of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby repealed in their entirety; Chapter 15.52 shall be reserved for future use. Section 22. Any person who violates any provision of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000 or by imprisonment not to exceed 1 year or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this ordinance is committed, continued, or permitted by any such person shall be a separate offense. Section 23. The City Council herewith finds, determines, and declares that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public health and safety. Section 24. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each part hereof irrespective of the fact that anyone part be declared invalid. Section 25. The repeal or modification of any provision of the Municipal Code of the City of Louisville by this ordinance shall not release, extinguish, alter, modify, or change in whole or in part any penalty, forfeiture, or liability, either civil or criminal, which shall have been incurred under such provision, and each provision shall be treated and held as still remaining in force for the purpose of sustaining any and all proper actions, suits, proceedings, and prosecutions for the enforcement of the penalty, forfeiture, or liability, as well as for the purpose of 13
