Louisville Historical Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 20, 2012 <br />Louisville Public Library Board Room <br /> 951 Spruce Street <br />6:30 p.m. <br />I. Call to Order: Commission Chairperson Dan Mellish called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Commission Members Present: Dan Mellish, Dave Ferguson, Lynn Koglin, Sally Burlingame, <br />Anne Robinson, Andrew Williams, Jennifer Strand <br />Commission Members Absent: Gladys Levis-Pilz, Pat Seader,Brian Chamberlin. <br />City Representatives Present: <br />Beth Barrett, Directory of Library & Museum Services <br />Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator <br />Frost Yarnell, City Council <br />Members of the Public Present: None. <br />III. Approval of Agenda: Members approved the agenda. <br />IV. Public Comments: None <br />V. Approval of Minutes: The minutes of the March 21, 2012 and April 18, 2012 Commission <br />meetings were approved. (There was no meeting in May.) <br />VI. Meeting as Advisory Board. <br />A. Report from Library DirectorBeth Barrett reported that the library has a new book sorter <br />which facilitates the quick reshelving of books. A book has been chosen for this year’s On <br />The Same Page program, by Mark <br />The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime <br />Haddon. There are new ceiling lights in the Museum. Staff turnover in the children’s <br />department has resulted in hiring a new staff member who has knowledge in archival <br />management, which may be helpful for the Museum. The Louisville citizen survey results <br />are out. This was the first citizen survey to ask a direct question about the Museum. <br />B. Report from Museum Coordinator <br />1.
