She reviewed the 2006 forecasts and suggested that <br />since the golf course management agreement will expire in 2006, the City <br />consider privatizing the golf course. <br /> <br />Ron Sackett, 625 Augusta Drive, Louisville, CO stated Louisville is a well run City <br />and that can be contributed to the quality of the City employees. He explained <br />from his personal experience, it's easier to play keep up than catch up with <br />employee's salaries and benefits. He suggested if budget funds become <br />available, the employee appreciation programs be reinstated. Finance Director <br />Leslie explained the budget includes a 1 % cost of living raise and up to a 2% <br />merit increase for city employees. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk addressed Ms. Kosinski's concern relative to the golf course and <br />explained the golf course is paying for itself and is an asset to the City. He <br />agreed the management company agreement is expiring in 2006, and the City <br />will negotiate for the best contract. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons noted the golf course is fully supported by the revenues <br />generated by the golf course fees. <br /> <br />Council member Levihn noted the golf course brings a lot of people into the City, <br />who later eat and shop in Louisville, which is benefit to the City. <br />
