Cancellation of November 8, 2005 City Council Study Session <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Council member Brown commented at the October 25, 2005 Special City Council <br />Meeting one speaker spoke at length after the Special Prosecutor's presentation <br />of the findings in the Van Pelt ethics complaint. The speaker questioned the <br />voracity of Council member Van Pelt and specifically her statement with regard to <br />the 2% ownership interest. Brown stressed Council member Van Pelt made it <br />clear she was not aware of the 2% issue. <br /> <br />Council member Brown was troubled by statements the City Council referred to <br />the Comp Plan as an advisory document, and therefore, it was not important. He <br />stated nothing could be further from the truth. He also commented on the length <br />of time public speakers are given under public comments, and suggested a five <br />minute time limit be given. <br /> <br />Council member Brown commended the two outgoing Council members, Keany <br />and Levihn for their service to the community, and voiced his appreciation for the <br />opportunity to serve with them. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk addressed Council member Brown's comment relative to a time limit <br />for public speakers. He agreed the length and subject matter should be <br />considered, but stressed a courteous public forum will still be observed. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk congratulated Council members Keany and Levihn for their long <br />service to the City of Louisville. He voiced his utmost respect for Council <br />member Keany, and stated his legacy will be the Youth Advisory Board. He <br />voiced his admiration and respect for Council member Levihn, and noted he was <br />a vigilant and very vibrant supporter of the new community park. He stated the <br />community is indebted for their service to City. He announced the City will honor <br />council members Keany and Levihn at a regular Council meeting in December. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />
