This year
we have a new approach.
The CRC and the Louisville
Sustainability Advisory Board
ctjS u s t a i n a b l e want to show you how Louis-
ville neighbors are living sus -
tainably. Going Green doesn't
mean just solar; we are expanding the variety of green homes this year and
will showcase all of the amazing things people are doing to make their
homes AND businesses sustainable!
What do you do to make your home a green home? Maybe you've
changed your bulbs to LED's or CFI's, do you collect your own rain water,
only have bikes in your garage, or maybe you've managed to reduce your
home's waste through creative reuse of materials.
There are accessible, local businesses and community organizations
that make it easy to understand ways to live sustainably. Purchase a ticket
for the tour and visit community stops, talk with local organizations,
and learn how to take easy steps in your life. The tour will demonstrate
that there is tangible value in making conservation improvements to your
home and lifestyle.
The 2011 Tour of Sustainable Homes will occur on Sunday, October
2nd.
