• <br />• <br />Louisville Open Space Citizens Advisory Board Meeting <br />7:00 p.m. <br />Monday, November 18, 2002 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />950 Spruce <br />Louisville, CO 80027 <br />Attendance: Matt Jones, Pat Hornbostel, Heidi Ochis, Bob Muckle, Wayne Varra, <br />Cary Tengler <br />Also in attendance: Cindy Lair, City Staff <br />Matt Jones called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Minutes were passed with corrections. <br />Motions and recommendations made during the October 21, 2002 meeting <br />1. Bob Muckle moved to pass minutes with corrections. Heidi Ochis seconded. <br />Motion passed 6 -0. <br />2. Bob Muckle moved the board approve the following recommendation <br />regarding the 96th Street Connector construction project. Heidi Ochis <br />seconded. Motion passed 6 -0. <br />The Louisville Open Space Citizens Advisory Board hereby recommends: <br />a. Construction crews involved in the 96th Street Connector project actively <br />work to minimize impact on surrounding open space; <br />b. Said construction crews actively work to minimize the impact in the right <br />of way near the Coal Creek riparian area.; <br />c. Said construction crews actively work to minimize the impact of fill on the <br />south side of Coal Creek. <br />d. The use of native seed for restoration of disturbed areas, and; <br />e. That if the City of Louisville disposes of open space for use as right of way, <br />that we receive a parcel of similar size and valueto replace the original parcel <br />or that funds be designated to enable the purchase of equivalent acreage. <br />Issues from Board not on the agenda <br />Bob Muckle addressed the status and value of the Leon Wurl Wildlife Preserve <br />(Harper Lake) and questioned whether there were improvements that could be <br />made to improve the area's general aesthetics and value as a preserve. <br />Matt Jones asked about the leaf collection bin located at the Fishing is Fun parking <br />lot on Cherry St. Without questioning the value of leaf collection efforts, Matt <br />
