• <br />Louisville Open Space Citizens Advisory Board Meeting <br />Monday, December 17, 20011 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />950 Spruce Street <br />Louisville, CO 80027 <br />7:00 Meeting <br />Attendance: Matt Jones, Pat Hornbostel, Heidi Ochis, Wayne Varra, Bob Muckle, Susan Remington, Bill <br />VanOrman and Cary Tengler <br />Also in attendance: Keith Williams, City Staff; Paul Wood, City Planning Staff. <br />Recommendations made during the December 17th meeting <br />1. Avista Hospital land swap. The Board would like to look at the property before a recommendation is <br />made. Pall Wood would like a recommendation from the Board as to whether the land should be <br />designated as a park or as open space. <br />2. Relocation of prairie dogs on Trillium property, to be displaced by Northwest Parkway. Board <br />strongly recommends that the NW Parkway Authority fund both the relocation of the dogs and finds a site <br />for them. Louisville does not currently have a suitable relocation site. <br />•3. Raptor nest on Admor property. Board would like more information as to why the contractor wants <br />to put the nest up, and what he expects out of it in return before a recommendation is made. <br />4. ESCO report. Board suggests a public meeting on February 27th in an open house format to let the <br />public comment on the ESCO report. <br />Matters from Staff/Board not on agenda <br />Pat Hornbostel asked if the City had looked into the trail easement encroachment issue on Birch Court. <br />Keith Williams said he has tried to contact the homeowners. The next step would be to hire a surveyor. <br />None. <br />Public comment items not on agenda <br />Matters from Staff/Board on agenda <br />Paul Wood discussed the land swap with Avista Hospital. <br />Keith Williams introduced the proposal to place a raptor nest in the cottonwoods on the Admor property. <br />The placement is a mitigating response to a disturbed raptor perch caused by the NW parkway. <br />.• Bill VanOrman discussed the topics on the table regarding the Lastoka property (attached). He noted that <br />there needed to be some clarification of how the new City Charter will effect jointly owned properties. <br />
