Louisville Open Space Citizens Advisory Board Meeting <br />6:45 p.m. <br />Monday, Oct. 9, 2000 <br />Louisville Recreation Center <br />700 W Via Appia <br />Louisville, CO 80027 <br />7:00 Meeting <br />Attendance: Matt Jones, Pat Hornbostel, Heidi Ochis, Bob Muckle, Susan Remington, Wayne Varra <br />Also in attendance: Steve Baysinger, Brad Chromowski, and Dave Sexton, City Staff; Cindy <br />Owsley, Boulder County Parks and Open Space weed specialist; Caryl Shields, Jean Morgan, Bill <br />Jennings, Bev Baker, Colorado Native Plant Society members; Michaela Owsley, Susan Spaulding, <br />Jan Chu, John Kelber, Joe Mationa (and others that did not sign in), Louisville. <br />Minutes <br />Matt Jones called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and called for any corrections to the Sept. 1 lth <br />minutes. <br />Jim Cummings and Jan McHugh should be identified as Wildlife task force members. <br />Matt Jones moved to adopt the minutes as amended, seconded by Wayne Varra. All in favor. <br />Matters From Staff <br />Steve Baysinger addressed the issue of moving 3 spruce trees, located in John Kelber's yard, into the <br />adjacent city owned open space near the Fireside Elementary School. Suggested the Board let Cindy <br />Owsley speak first, then return to the tree issue. <br />The Board concurred. <br />Matters From Board <br />Prairie dogs: City Council meeting. <br />Bob Muckle attended the meeting and reported that the proposal that was passed was hard to follow. <br />He requested a written response describing what passed. <br />Steve Baysinger summarized his interpretation of what passed: <br />The recommendations of the Wildlife task force and LOSCAB were passed. <br />West of McCaslin, the prairie dogs will be moved onto Davidson Mesa once the contract with the <br />movers has been renewed. <br />All other colonies will be left alone until the open space classification has been completed, lease status <br />on jointly owned properties has been reviewed and possible inclusion into the Boulder County <br />"conservation with assurances" agreement with the Fish and Wildlife Service has been pursued. <br />Steve Baysinger said he would send a memo of what he thinks was passed. <br />
