Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes from the December 2, 2005 meeting were reviewed, discussed and <br />accepted unanimously with no changes. <br />Motion for acceptance, Lise Trudeau; Second, Ellen Toon <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br />No members of the public were present at the meeting. <br />Chris Lichty reported that Scott Robson has been hired as the new Director for <br />the Department of Land Management. It was suggested that Chris invite Mr. <br />Robson to the next HFAB meeting. <br />VI. Designation of 2006 meeting location and where agendas will be posted <br />(Library, City Hall, Police Station, Recreation Center and website). <br />Board members agreed to continue to meet on the same schedule and at the <br />same location in 2006 as was used in 2005. Meetings will be held on the 1st <br />Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Louisville Recreation Center. <br />VII. Community Park <br />• Chris Lichty reported on the progress at the Community Park with comments <br />from other Board members. Items noted included: <br />• Culverts have been put in at the extension. <br />• There has been some maintenance of vegetation to enhance the potential <br />for success. <br />•. The sod is doing well and is being maintained, including watering. <br />• It was suggested that the bamboo plants need collars to restrict spreading <br />of the plants. <br />It was suggested to Chris that'the date and time for the grand opening of the park <br />should be made known and reported to HFAB. <br />It was suggested by Chris that a service that HFAB could provide that would be <br />valuable for the management of the park would be to develop a management <br />guide. This item is to be discussed in more detail at the February meeting. <br />It was suggested that the writing of technical guides could be a means for <br />providing education for other areas of the City as well as the Park. This item is to <br />be discussed as part of the goal setting at the next HFAB meeting in February. <br />VIII. Arboretum Planning <br />The annual maintenance effort was discussed <br />
