<br />RESOLUTION NO. 54, SERIES 1995 <br /> <br />A Resolution Waiving Certain Fees and Making In-kind Contributions to the Louisville <br />Housing Authority Senior Housing <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Louisville Housing Authority has proposed building 30-units of new housing <br />for seniors in Louisville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, housing costs and rents have risen in this region; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, many seniors on fixed incomes have found it difficult to remain in the area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are many senior citizens currently on the Housing Authority's waiting list; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is a significant need for affordable, safe, and comfortable rental housing <br />for Louisville's senior citizens; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the addition of this senior housing would make a positive contribution to the <br />City. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the ordinances establishing the service expansion fees, major thoroughfare fees, <br />and use tax on residential construction materials provided for waiver of these <br />fees. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, the City Council of the City of Louisville, Colorado, <br />does hereby approve of the following for the Louisville Housing Authority's Fischer <br />Subdivision senior housing proposal. By this resolution Council's direction to staff is the: <br /> <br />Waiver of the following fees and taxes for the project: <br /> <br />- Service Expansion Fee and the Thoroughfare Fees <br /> <br />- Use Tax on Residential Construction Material <br /> <br />Making an in-kind contribution in the amount of the Permit, Plan Check and Electrical, <br />Plumbing, Mechanical Fees for the LHA's Senior Housing Proposal, the Fischer <br />Subdivision. <br />
