Old Open Business
• Final Review of Arboretum Budget Proposal for 2005
Cindy is requesting maintenance dollars for FY2005.
Matt questioned signage. A kiosk is planned for the xeric garden. Chris says that we
need someway to promote the arboretum. Citizens can stop by the Land Management
office and get a tree map for it. Mike proposed adding this issue to our Winter 2005
action item list.
Notes: Rotarians installed all the edging; weeds are under control; irrigation coverage is
still not appropriate.
• Final Review of Median Revitalization Plan and Budget for 2005
Discussion held for defining the design review process if funding is approved. Terry
proposed that HFAB produce a recommended plant list for medians. Chris added that we
need to involve public works in developing the list of recommended plants and the
guidelines for design to accommodate engineering needs, safety and standards for site
distance, etc.
•
