Much discussion also went into the landscaping for shade and wind buffering for the <br />pedestrians. Jerry is very interested in our proposed plant list for the landscaping. <br />The construction plans are to be done by the end of the year. <br />Jerry is most willing to return to HFAB with a rough landscape plan in October or <br />November for our input and plant lists. <br />The Coal Creek path should also connect with the pedestrian plan for the overpass <br />changes. Heather believes that it is planned to be connected. <br />We will have Heather and Jerry on our November agenda. <br />City Entries <br />Planning for ledge rock pillars at the entries to each city. Smaller pilasters would be at . <br />the transit stops and on each end of the overpass. Are trying to synthesize what <br />Louisville and Superior have been doing with ledge rock. <br />The city of Louisville and Town of Superior will be having a joint review meeting next <br />Wednesday, September 10 at 10AM at the Point (Key Bank building in Superior). This <br />is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend. Louisville's City Council will be <br />formally reviewing the plan at the September 17 regular council session. <br />2. Arbor Day/Historical Garden Planning <br />Tabled to the November agenda. <br />3. City of Louisville Open Space Management Plan <br />The city council is having a work session on September 23 (not 9/9) at the library <br />conference room. <br />D. Agenda Items for Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be held entirely in the arboretum, weather permitting. All business <br />will be limited to that of arboretum development and maintenance. <br />Adjournment: <br />Meeting was adjourned at 8:35PM by Susan. The next general meeting will be at <br />5:OOPM on October 2 at the arboretum with Chuck. This meeting will be only about the <br />arboretum and will be conducted on -site.
