• <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />City Liaisons Present: <br />LOUISVILLE TREE BOARD <br />MINUTES OF BORAD MEETING <br />October 6, 1999 <br />Howard Teague, Susan Spaulding, Jerry Warren <br />Nanette Edwards and Bev Beaufait <br />Steve Baysinger and Brad Chronowski <br />A. General <br />1. Meeting was called to order at 5:40 by Howard Teague. Minutes from September <br />meeting approved. <br />2. Arboretum tour was deferred until it can be coordinated with Dr. Klett from CSU. <br />3. Slide show of the S -3 project was shared with the board. Slides were, prepared by <br />Norris Dullea the landscape design firm used for the project. Consensus of the <br />Board was satisfaction with the project. <br />4. Gateway at South Boulder Road and McCaslin will be awarded to Urban Farmer <br />after negotiated with staff Construction in 1999 will target preparatory in <br />infrastructure work including walls, irrigation system and grading. Plant <br />materials to be added as a change order in 2000. <br />5. Engineering work is being completed on the Arboretum' parking area. The goal is <br />still to install the lot in 1999. <br />6. Dr. Klett from CSU has identified the Crabapples and other unidentified <br />Arboretum trees. Signage will follow. <br />7. Update on meeting held on trail beautification between Dillon and Cherry. <br />Plantings will be undertaken still in October. <br />8. Board endorsed applying for the Colorado Parks and Recreation Foundation Tree <br />Grant. Will work with EAGL city's contracted golf course management company <br />for matching funds. <br />Tree Coalition Grant will be reviewed with ideas for grant application. <br />9. Election of officers, member status and goals need to be addressed at upcoming <br />meetings. <br />10. Draft of Forestry job description will be sent to board members for review. <br />11. Meeting adjourned at 6:40 p.m. The Next Tree Board Meeting will be, <br />Wednesday,. November 4, 1999. <br />
