Meeting called to order by Howard Teague, May minutes were approved.
2. Shawn Malone and Robb Williamson presented the landscape plan for
McCaslin and South Boulder Road. The area to be landscaped at this
gateway measures approximately five acres. This site is significantly larger
than noted in the Landscape Beautification Master Plan.
In the 1999 capital budget $275,000 is.allocated for this landscaping project.
With the P.U.D. the developer has responsibility for $25,000 toward
landscaping and the trail connection which staff has estimated at $46,000 for
a total of $71,000.
Norris Dullea presented three options to phase this project and stay within
the budget. These options were presented on a hand out given at the
meeting. Board members favored option B with option A as the second
choice.
Steve will review the information with City Council prior to bidding the
project. The bid information will also contain bid alternates should the
project be under the estimates by Norris Dullea.
Norris Dullea discussed possible tree and plant material selections with the
Board and will update.
3. Brad reported the trees will be planted in the Arboretum by June 18th, 1999.
Irrigation system repairs need to be completed prior to plantings.
