Department of Planning and Building Safety <br />Building Safety Division <br />749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 303.335.4584 www.louisvilleco.gov <br />MM <br />EMORANDU <br />To:Honorable Chair and Members of the Building Code Board of <br />Appeals <br />From: <br /> Planning and Building Safety Division <br />Subject: <br /> Goals and Projects for 2013 Building Code Board of Appeals <br />Date: November 15, 2012 <br />Staff is interested in beginning a discussion of the Board of Appeals2013 goals. <br />As the year progresses other discussion items will be added to the agenda. <br />th <br />The discussion items for the November 15 meeting include: <br />1) The Mobile Home Ordinance: Staff is working with the City Attorney to <br />update the City’s Mobile Home Ordinance. The current ordinance was <br />created in 1977. Staff finds it necessary to update the ordinance prior to <br />enforcing some basic building code and fire code life safety inspections. <br />2) The ongoing review of the 2012 ICC codes, including the IgCC and the <br />ICC 700: During the review process, the Board will look at the <br />community’s interests in green buildings and sustainability issues from the <br />updated Comprehensive Plan and any reports and findings from other <br />jurisdictions that have adopted the 2012 codes. <br />3) A review of Chapter 15 in the City Municipal Code. This chapter was last <br />reviewed in 2009. Staff is currently reviewing the chapter and once <br />complete any recommended changes will be brought before the Board for <br />review. Changes might include wording, to make it more clear and <br />understandable. <br />
