Plan. Which then lead to further discussion about where this Comp Plan
is with the commercial development in the City of Louisville. One board
member brought up a concern with the City focusing on high density
housing verses the need of commercial development to help support the
tax needs of the town. Example: the possibility of Sam’s Club being
converted to housing.
Item VII – Staff Update – 2012 Improvement Plan action items status-
1. Booster pump schedule and completion date-
Joe Stevens reported that the booster pump is ordered and should
be available the first week in December. The manufacture is Rain
Bird and is made to order. The pump will be installed this winter
and tested this spring.
2. Club house final improvement plan and schedule assuming funding-
Joe reported that Jeff Van Sambeek is still working on the plans for
the clubhouse. The goal is to start the renovations this winter
during the months of Jan., Feb. and March. A possible change
order is in the works to add some electrical work that is needed and
was not part of the original CIP.
Lisa Norgard suggested looking into the possibility of adding the
meeting room back into the club house improvement plans. There
is a definite need for City meeting space and it seems logical to use
the club house for this use.
3. Davey tree schedule and plan –
Davey tree is currently waiting for the ground to harden up to
continue with tree trimming. The planting of the new trees will more
than likely begin in November according to Joe Stevens.
4. Proposed improvement to the golf course from 2013 funding- bunker
renovation and irrigation head purchases and installation –
Joe reported that 300 sprinkler heads are expected to be installed
in the next three weeks.
Item VIII – WGP update – third quarter business results –
Eric Jensen reviewed the third quarter business results with the
board and stated that rounds are up by 2500 year-to-date (thru
September). Net operating income is up for the year and expenses
are under budget. Eric quoted “It’s been a solid year!”
Item IX – Board discussion on re-prioritization of Improvement Plan line
items for 2013 and going forward – The GCAB recommended that the capital

··
Parks and Recreation Department 749 Main Street Louisville, CO 80027
·
(303) 335-4735 FAX (303) 335-4738
www.louisvilleco.gov
Parks Recreation Senior Services O
Golf
