One was for the site work services for ten outdoor fitness zones <br /> at the Arboretum for$39,000. The Horticultural and Forestry Board reviewed the <br /> contracts. The chosen contractor submitted the lowest bid. The next contract is for <br /> fiber optics and is in coordination with the Boulder Valley School District. <br /> This is a sole source contract, which was supported due to the company's experience <br /> working with the police department and the school district. The contractor also was <br /> competitive in the bidding process. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> ORDINANCE No. 1625, SERIES 2012 —AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND <br /> REENACTING WITH AMENDMENTS CHAPTER 17.56 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING FLOODPLAIN ZONING — 2nd Reading <br /> - Public Hearing <br /> Mayor Muckle opened the public hearing and requested a presentation. <br /> Planner I Robinson explained the City of Louisville has partnered with the Urban <br /> Drainage and Flood Control District (District) to evaluate and design improvements to <br /> the Drainageway Watershed A-2 to mitigate the 100-year storm event impacts <br /> associated with the City's downtown area. Staff is evaluating several options with the <br /> District to determine a technically feasible and affordable solution to the drainage and <br /> flood plain conditions as currently delineated for the downtown area. The amendment to <br /> the agreement provides funding for right-of-way, construction and contingency the City <br /> and the District anticipate may be necessary. Staff recommended approval of <br /> Ordinance No. 1625, Series 2012. <br /> Mayor Muckle called for public comment and hearing none, closed the public hearing. <br /> MOTION: Council member Loo moved to approve Ordinance No. 1625, Series 2012, <br /> seconded by Council member Keany Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by <br /> a vote of 6-0. Absent: Council member Sackett. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 76, SERIES 2012—A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE GUENZI <br /> HOUSE LOCATED AT 1036 WALNUT STREET A HISTORIC LANDMARK <br /> Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br /> Planner I Robinson reviewed that the request is to landmark a historic residential <br /> structure located at 1036 Walnut Street. The applicant/owner is Steve Poppitz. The <br /> structure was built around 1908 and is located in the part of East Louisville. It was <br /> platted in 1906 by Bill Lee. Early owners were Italian immigrants, Henry and Josephine <br />
