It was determined that the site has several mitigating factors that make it <br />currently untenable for the Louisville Housing Authority to develop. <br /> <br />Discussion began on the possibility of selling the property. Mayor Sisk suggested that staff <br />obtain an appraisal on the property in order to determine how to proceed. <br /> <br />Council member Jay Keany suggested that the City contact Habitat for Humanity to inquire <br />whether they might be interested in building on the property. <br /> <br />Discussion - Proposal for Development of Technology Plan as Required by Ballot <br />Initiative 200 <br />Julie Boyd explained that Ballot Initiative 200 approved by the residents in November <br />2004 requires that the City have a plan for posting agenda-related materials on its website <br />within one year of the election. She introduced Meredyth Muth, Community Facilitator and <br />webmaster. Meredyth explained that the City is currently placing the majority of agenda- <br />related materials for Council meetings on the website. Anything unavailable electronically <br />is scanned and placed on the web. <br /> <br />Julie Boyd stated that staff proposes to develop a short survey, available on the City's <br />website, to determine what documents are most frequently desired and accessed by the <br />public. <br /> <br />Council member Jay Keany asked why the City would use anything other than pdf format. <br /> <br />Julie Boyd explained that some residents have indicated that they cannot open pdf files. <br /> <br />Meredyth Muth explained that the City is also considering using LaserFische, which has a <br />web option and it is uncertain what format this program would require. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk asked who would be compiling the survey. <br /> <br />Julie Boyd replied that staff from the City Manager's Office, Information Technology, along <br />with the Planning and Finance Departments would prepare the survey. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk suggested preparing a draft survey for public input. <br /> <br />There was discussion on how to solicit public input. Council member Don Brown <br />suggested placing an article in the City newsletter with some proposed questions and <br />asking for public input on the questions. <br /> <br />Council member Michele Van Pelt questioned the need for including this in the City <br />newsletter. She suggested placing the draft survey on a Council Agenda for discussion <br /> <br />4 <br />
