Louisville City Council Meeting <br />May 2, 2001 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Sisk complemented Finance Director Dianne Ray and her staff for their work in <br />preparation of the 2000 audit. <br /> <br />Brown asked Finance Dianne Ray how other municipalities and county entities are <br />responding to GASB 34. <br /> <br />Davidson stated that GASB 34 will be reviewed through the Colorado Municipal League. <br /> <br />SETTING DATE AND TIME OF ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING FOR THE <br /> HOME RULE CHARTER COMMISSION <br /> <br />City Administrator Bill Simmons explained that following the May 1, 2001 election on <br />formation of the Charter Commission and selection of Charter Commission members, the <br />City Council must call the first meeting of the Charter Commission, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 31-2-206(4). Staff recommends City Council call the first meeting for the <br />evening of May 7, 2001 at 7:00 p.m., in the Louisville Public Library Conference Room, <br />950 Spruce Street. Simmons noted that the candidates have been notified by mail of the <br />potential meeting date. <br /> <br />MOTION: Keany moved that Council call the first meeting for Home Rule Charter <br />Commission for May 7, 2001 at 7:00 p.m., in the Louisville Public Library Conference <br />Room, 950 Spruce Street, seconded by Mayer. All in favor. <br /> <br />Simmons stated that staff has prepared informational booklets for all members of the <br />Charter Commission, which will be distributed prior to the first meeting. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1360, SERIES 2001 - AN ORDINANCE DISCONNECTING <br />FROM THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO CERTAIN PARCELS OF <br />LAND REFERRED TO AS THE GLACIER PARK, BOULDER COUNTY LAND <br />VENTURE AND TRILLIUM OPEN SPACE PROPERTIES - 1st reading - set <br />public hearing 6/5/01. <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read ordinance No. 1360, Series 2001. <br /> <br />MOTION: Sisk moved that Ordinance No. 1360, Series 2001 be set out for publication <br />and a public hearing be set for June 5, 2001, seconded by Mayer.
