Louisville City Council Meeting <br />September 18, 2001 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />me <br /> <br />Approval of Bills <br />Approval of Minutes 8/21/01 & 9/4/01 <br />Resolution No. 47, Series 2001 - A Resolution Approving and Ratifying <br />the Release of Certain Conservation Easements and Agreements in <br />Connection with the Re-alignment of the Northwest Parkway. <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Sisk stated that words could not express the sorrow that is felt for the victims of the <br />terrorist attack. <br /> <br />Sisk noted that today is the Jewish New Year - Rosh Hashanah. He stated that it is <br />important to be sensitive to all the religious faiths and suggested that in the future, <br />meetings not be scheduled to conflict with secular religious events. <br /> <br />Levihn stated that at least 200 people are gathered at Memory Square Park for a candle <br />light ceremony in observance of the tragic events that occurred in New York City and in <br />Washington, D.C. He noted that several churches, the Tri-City Elks Club, American <br />Legion and VFW Clubs are all represented. He reported that the Tri-City Elks Club <br />would sponsor a Spaghetti Dinner and Raffle on September 29, 2001. The cost of the <br />dinner is $10.00 and all proceeds will go to the World Trade Center (WTC) Relief Fund. <br /> <br />Sisk noted that Carrabba's Restaurant in Louisville is sponsoring a luncheon, on <br />Thursday, September 20, 2001, with all proceeds donated to the relief fund. A $15.00 <br />donation is requested. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - GLEN HUEY RECYCLING CENTER <br /> <br />Davidson read the proclamation, which renamed the Recycle Center. Davidson stated that <br />in recognition of the contributions made by Glen Huey to the Louisville Recycling <br />Center, the site would be renamed after him. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
