HFAB
members present agreed that since in the past, HFAB has been called upon to offer
comments and suggestions regarding parks issues, HFAB could continue to serve in
that role. Regarding the City’s acquisition of land for potential new parks, Theresa
commented that the City budget should give higher priority to the maintenance and
improvement of current parks and the Arboretum.
VI.Arboretum Projects Update—Dean stated that Allan Gill has ordered ten pieces of
equipment for the new exercise trail, and the concrete pads for the equipment will be
installed by the end of December. The new stamped concrete floor for the pergola will
also be installed before the end of this year. Irrigation lines and sod for the area
surrounding the pergola will be installed next spring. The condition and design of the
Xeric Demonstration garden will need to be reviewed in 2013.

··
Parks and Recreation Department 749 Main Street Louisville, CO 80027
·
(303) 335-4735 FAX (303) 335-4738
www.louisvilleco.gov
Parks Recreation Senior Services O
