<br />b.Club house final improvement plan and schedule – Joe stated <br />that he would like to have approval to move forward with club <br />house improvements. <br />c.Davey Tree schedule and plan – Joe informed the board that <br />Davey Tree Co. is waiting for colder temperatures to continue with <br />the tree planting and trimming. <br />d.Plans for 2013 funding – bunker renovation and irrigation head <br />purchases and installation – Joe reported that the remaining <br />sprinkler heads should be installed by the end of the month. Ken <br />Gambon recommended that, if funded, we focus on the green side <br />bunkers at first beginning with Hole #2. Eric Jensen asked that we <br />think about eliminating fairway damage and other possible damage <br />to the course when considering which bunkers to begin with. <br />Item VII – WGP update – <br /> Eric stated that the November numbers are looking good and the Peak <br />st <br />Players free golf begins December 1. The 2013 budget process is <br />beginning and he will have numbers for the board at the January meeting. <br /> Ken asked Eric about the maintenance equipment, agronomy guidelines <br />and a maintenance schedule. <br /> Eric stated that carts will be leased and he is disappointed with the <br />warranty service on the equipment we have. <br /> Joe asked Eric to provide an overview for equipment, cart lease, <br />modifications for staffing and positions. Along with year-end financials <br />and budget for the January meeting. <br />Item VIII – GCAB discussion on golf course use in the event of closing due <br />to snow coverage, e.g. snowshoeing, cross country skiing, etc. – <br /> Rob Lathrop brought up the idea of recreating the sled hill (which <br />Louisville used to have an informal sled hill in the late 80’s and <br />early 90’s) on hole #15 and #16 of the golf course. The discussion <br />then surrounded around risk and insurance and if it can be done <br />under the Cities umbrella. The access and use of the parking lot at <br />the Surgery Center at Avista was also discussed. Moving forward <br />we need to contact the site manager to discuss parking lot access. <br /> At this point a motion was made to study the possibility of a sled hill <br />and its implications to the golf course.
