HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: <br />Informationisfrom Historian Bridget Baconand is attached to this document. <br />La Salle Family:1931-1960 <br />Toney La Salle was a prominent Louisville businessman selling appliances and furniture <br />on Main Street. Before that, he worked as a coal miner in the winter and played semi- <br />professional baseball in the summer. Toney was married to Katherine and they had a <br />son Richard.
