HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: <br />Informationisfrom Historian Bridget Baconand is attached to this document. <br />Taylor Family:1893-1905 <br />Charles Taylor was a Louisville City Council member from 1896 to 1898 and mayor <br />from 1899 to 1900 and 1904 to 1905. He worked as a carpenter and coal miner, <br />including as “top foreman” for the Acme, Rex No. 1, and Hecla mines. He also played <br />in multiple bands in early Louisville. He and his wife, Mary Jane, had three children. <br />Eberharter Family: 1922-1955 <br />The Eberhartersran a store at 805 Lafarge, and their son, Fred, lived in 713 Spruce <br />with his wife Sophie and son LeRoy while he worked as a clerk at the store. From 1943 <br />to 1953, the house was occupied by the Campana family. <br />Harbuz Family: 1955-2012 <br />Stan Harbuz was born in Poland and, in 1942 at age 18, was forced to work in a Nazi <br />work camp in Germany. He emigrated to Colorado in the 1950s and worked as a <br />carpenter. <br />REQUEST: <br />The applicants,David and Roxane Dupuis,is requesting to partially demolish the house <br />to make an addition to the rear and construct a second story. <br />1948 Boulder Assessor Photo <br />2 <br />
