This is primarily due to a more
correct calculation by the State Library.

Now paying for support and maintenance service on the automated
handling system. There has been a noticeable improvement in publ
as improved workflow and less physical strain for staff.

Training budget increase so the Library can send someone to the ILS conference.
Also, IT support from Boulder is being discontinued due to changes in Boulder.

The Library is requesting funds for additional seating in the area to
encourage parent/child reading.

More funds are being allocated for electronic resources. This also encompasses
shifting of funds from print materials to electronic materials.

C.Discover Tech Summary

This exhibit was very popular with children and parents alike; more so than Discover
Earth. One feature of the exhibit, the snap circuits, was very popular and equally used
by boys and girls. The Library purchased three of the snap circuit sets and these are
available for checkout at the C

There were several programs especially for kidsScience Saturday
included young inventors, lights & lasers workshop, and paper craft engineering. For
teens there was a program on LEGO Mindstorms Robots. Scientists and engineers from
Ball Aerospace and Sierra Nevada Space Systems, as well as the founder of Engineers
Without Borders presented programs on the James Webb Space Teles
Chaser Shuttle, and engineering for developing communities.
